I’m thrilled that because of my current job that I can now put keyword research down on my resume.  I don’t actually do any keyword research at my job, but I know what it is now and how it’s generally done.  I have mountain climbing down as a skill on my resume too.  But it’s not like I have ever actually climbed a mountain.  In fact, you aren’t going to find any mountains here in Illinois.  Because of that mammoth glacier that covered almost the entire state back during the Ice Age, it’s all flat land.  There’s no way anyone can check to see if that tidbit is true or not.  Likewise, I threw scuba diving and ice fishing down on there.  I don’t really know if those are the exact job skills an employer looks for on a potential employee’s resume, but I like having them on there.  They make me come off as rugged and adventurous.  That’s got to impress someone.  If I was looking at my resume and I was a different person, I’d certainly be impressed with it.  I’d hire myself right on the spot because that shows confidence, bravery, and the will power to get things done.  I saw a mountain and I climbed it.  That’s the only way to overcome obstacles.
